Fire Curtains
Cavity Barrier SFP Ltd are certified experts in the provision and installation of tested Fire Curtains.
Fire Curtains are an integral part of a passive fire system used especially in large open spaces and public buildings. The purpose of a Fire Curtain/Barrier is to compartmentalise a fire and restrict it to a certain area. This will either contain the blaze or slow down the passage and spread of the fire to enable the safe evacuation of the building,
Fire and smoke curtains are wired into a building’s automatic fire alarm system or have their own fire or smoke detectors attached. The curtains can automatically react to any flames in a room instantly. It is hugely beneficial to have this extra time when waiting on the fire brigade during an accident.
SFP Ltd only uses Fire Curtains that are tested and certified to the EN BS476 Part 22 by the manufacturers. We are certified to install the product as per the manufacturers tested instructions.

- Provides up to 2 hours fire protection
- Fast patented angle and clamping plate system
Nullifire
A lightweight, flexible fire curtain that provides a barrier to smoke and flames. It consists of a specially coated glass fabric material. This is stretched between perimeter fixings and staple jointed for maximum effectiveness. FB810 is suitable for 60-120 minutes fire resistance.
- Tested in accordance with BS 476-Pt20
- Smoke and cavity fire barrier
- Approval with service penetrations
- Suitable for large openings up to 10.8 m
Fast patented angle and clamping plate system.
Cavity Barriers
Cavity Barriers create a protective wall between one area and another. SFP Ltd only use Cavity Barriers that are tested and certified by their manufacturers
Cavity Barriers are mostly used to prevent fire and smoke between cavities such as in blockwork, cladding, curtain walling and above ceilings. The primary function is to maintain continuity of fire resistance by sealing the cavity gap between the compartment floors or walls and the external curtain wall both horizontally and vertically.
The materials comprise a one-piece product having a pre-compressed non-combustible rockfibre core. The products also have integral aluminium foil facings to provide a Class O rating and excellent resistance to smoke.

Whatever your needs we will work with you to provide a certifiable solution
Fire Pillows
SFP Ltd are certified experts in the provision and installation of tested Fire Pillows. Fire Pillows are a low-cost part of a passive fire protection system.
Fire Pillows are used to create temporary or permanent fire barriers around multiple service penetrations in walls and floor/ceiling structures. They are suitable for use on concrete, masonry, porous concrete wall constructions and concrete floor constructions They are a low cost yet efficient solution to fire sealing. They are simple and quick to install and can be removed and reused if required. SFP Ltd uses fire pillows that are made from quality, water repellent, cloth envelopes enclosing a high-temperature fire-resistant granulated material. They are available in various sizes to suit the requirements of the Ope.

Fire Rated Batt
Fire Rated Batt is known for being a very cost-effective and a lightweight form of fire protection.
The Fire Rated Batt acts as an air seal barrier to reinstate the fire resistance. It works well with concrete floors; masonry walls and drywall systems Fire Batt is a lightweight fire protection for up to 4 hours for passages through fire rated compartment walls and floors. It consists of 160kg/m3 density mineral fibre slabs, coated with a white, class ‘O’ flexible, waterproof ablative coating to produce a durable fire barrier for service penetration openings. They are light, flexible, and easy to handle and cut.

Fire Rated Collars
Fire-Rated Collars and Wraps are used as part of a passive fire solution, to fire seal pipes that penetrate fire compartment walls and floors.
Fire-rated collars and wraps are made up of pipes. The expansion of the intumescent material is utilised in a different way in pipe collars and wraps. They are designed to expand inwards and crush the pipe that is going through a wall or floor to stop the transfer of flames. Pipe Collars consist of a galvanised steel shell lined with intumescent material. Pipe Collars are used to stop the spread of smoke and fire along plastic pipework that passes through compartment walls and floors. During a fire the intumescent expands within the steel casing and seals the pipe.

- Provides an effective barrier to the spread of smoke and fire for up to 2 hours
- Lightweight design and surface-mounted installation requires no special tools or equipment
- Durable construction resistant to moisture
- The design allows for movement of the pipe during thermal expansion/contraction
Fire Wraps
Fire Wraps are used to stop the spread of smoke and fire along services that pass-through compartment walls and floors. The Wrap fits around the circumference of the pipe within the depth of the substrate. In the event of a fire the Wrap prevents the passage of fire and smoke by closing off the aperture within the compartment floor or wall when penetrated by plastic pipes.

Intumescent Pipe Wrap
Intumescent Mastic Seals
Fire-Rated Collars and Wraps are used as part of a passive fire solution, to fire seal pipes that penetrate fire compartment walls and floors.
Intumescent Mastic Seals help fill up any gaps on fire-resistant walls and floors, between conduits and walls/floors and between fire-resistant walls and structural supports. Fire Mastic cures to give a firm, but non-hardening flexible seal in low movement fire-rated joints to seal between joints in Fire Batts, the substrate to penetration service applications and pointing up of penetration seals. Fire mastic may be used to provide a linear joint or gap seal with specific supporting constructions and substrates and as a penetration seal.

Intumescent Painting/Coatings
Intumescent painting /coatings is a fireproofing product, applied to structural steel as part of the buildings passive Firestopping system.
When applied with the correct process it will give an aesthetically pleasing fire stopping solution. The function of Intumescent paint/coatings is to protect the structural steel of a building during exposure to extreme temperature levels. During these times the paint will expand up to 100 times
it’s original thickness acts as an insulator and protects the steel underneath.

Intumescent Strips
An intumescent strip is a graphite-based fire sealing product contained within a plastic sleeve for fitting into a rebate of either the door leaves or the door frame. The intumescent strip expands when the heat from a fire comes in contact and seals the gap around the door to provide a safe and effective barrier against the passage of fire & smoke.
